This Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, 

For patients:

In order to treat you, I will ask you to provide certain information.  This includes: your name & date of birth, home & email address, phone number(s) and emergency contacts, summary of medical history.

To this, over time, I will add details of the conditions for which you have consulted me and the remedies and other therapies that I have prescribed or recommended.. All the information collected is obtained directly from you, usually during the consultation process.  During or prior to the first consultation I will ask for your consent to allow me to store and use your data.  This is required to ensure compliance with data protection legislation.   I use your personal information to analyse the conditions for which you have consulted me and to prescribe homeopathic remedies and other therapies.  I will not disclose any of your personal information to any unrelated third party, except where required by law.

I need to keep your information for as long as you continue to consult me.  Since patients often return for more consultations after a period of absence, I will keep your information for seven years after your last consultation.  In the case of children, for 7 years after their 18th birthday.   Your paper file will then be securely destroyed and digital information erased. To ensure that I have accurate and up-to-date personal information, please inform me of any changes.   Under data protection legislation, you have the right to inspect the personal information I hold about you.  You can make a request to do so by contacting me and I will endeavour to respond within 14 working days. Where your files are paper based they are held securely in a locked cabinet. Computer files are password protected.  I take steps to protect your personal information against loss or theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification. Your email address (if you have one) is held securely on the server of my email provider, currently BTInternet. This policy may change from time to time. Should there be any material changes, I will make you aware of them.

If you have subscribed online to a newsletter, posts or updates, I use this information to send out newsletters or updates which I believe will be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing melissa@bransgore-homeopathy.co.uk. Your information will never be shared other than which for the purpose it was collected.
